Do you have dark, patchy circles under your eyes?

Do you have dark, patchy circles under your eyes?

You can fade them out with Eyerix by PharmaClinix.

Dark patches under the eyes are a very common problem. This is because the areas of skin under your eyes are much thinner and more sensitive than the skin on the rest of your body and therefore your blood vessels appear much more visible, causing the thin area of your skin to appear much darker.

Asian and dark skinned people often suffer from dark circles under their eyes which are more visible than on Caucasian skinned people. People often assume that these dark patches under the eyes are always a result of fatigue, but this is only one of the reasons. They are primarily due to:

  • Genetic disposition- most commonly, dark circles under the eyes is an inherited trait. If you have more transparent skin, also an inherited trait, the dark circles will appear more visible.

  • Damage by the sun- without proper protection against the harmful effects of UVA and UVB light from the sun, the area of skin under the eyes becomes thinner and more sensitive.

  • Stress and lack of sleep- fatigue can cause paleness in the skin which allows blood the blood underneath the skin to become more visible and appear darker; it is most visible under the eyes where the skin is thinnest.

  • General ageing- dark skin under the eyes becomes more noticeable and permanent with age. This is because skin loses collagen and gets thinner and more translucent

  • Iron deficiency or vitamin deficiency- a lack of nutrients in the diet and a lack of a balanced diet can contribute to the discolouration of the area under the eyes. Iron deficiency is the most common type of anaemia and this condition is a sign that not enough oxygen is getting to the body tissues.

  • Medications- any medications that cause blood vessels to dilate can cause circles under the eyes to darken.

In some cases these dark circles can be relieved to a certain extent with massage, drinking plenty of fluids, sufficient sleep and rest from stress and making sure you are always protected against the sun with sunscreen.

Eyerix cream by PharmaClinix is an effective way of lightening the circles under your eyes in a safe and natural way, without damaging this very sensitive area of your skin.

How Eyerix can help you:

  • It multiplies the production of collagen (a skin protein) and elastic, thereby improving the skin smoothness and elasticity and slowing down the wrinkling process.

  • It suppresses inflammatory enzymes, therefore decreasing puffiness swelling and signs of fatigue.

  • It strengthens capillaries, arteries and veins, thus reducing leakage and colour lines.

  • Obstructs histamine formation, therefore reducing any allergic reactions
