You should brush thoroughly twice a day, before or after meals. Electronic toothbrushes are very efficient to use as they get out debris from your mouth more effectively.
You should always brush the inside of your teeth, as this is the area that is most neglected and can result in plaque when not cleaned properly.
You should try and floss at least once a day as this will help get rid of the bacteria that can cause gum disease and decay.
Eating more raw food including carrots and apples will help to clean your teeth also- and too much citric acid which is present in many fruit juices should try and be avoided as the acid can cause decay.
Scraping your tongue once a week will help to get rid of any bacteria present on your tongue.
Try not to smoke! As this will lead to bad breath and unhealthy teeth and gums.
You should see a dentist at least once a year for a check up and a dental hygienist every six months to clean your teeth and remove and plaque on them.
