Melasma also known as Chloasma or Mask of Pregnancy is very common in Asian and dark skinned women.
It is caused by the female hormones and can occur during pregnancy, while on the contraceptive pill or on hormone replacement therapy.
Tyrosinase in the cells is required to produce the brown pigment, Melanin.
The over-production of Melanin results in dark patches.

Lightenex plus blocks the production & action of Tyrosinase, so the dark pigment melanin is reduced. The time it takes to clear pigmentation varies from one person to another.
Whilst some can see a difference in 6-8 weeks, it can take up to 6 months, depending on skin type, age, extent and spread of pigmentation.
